Connecting with Merage MBAs
There are a variety of ways to build your presence and connect with Merage
MBAs on campus or at your location. Whether you are across the globe or right
next door, the MBA Career Center will work closely with you to develop a recruiting
strategy tailored to meet your organization’s specific needs. Consider
the following options
Conduct On-Campus Presentations
On-Campus presentations are an informal way to provide students with information
about your organization and employment opportunities and can be most effective
when done in conjunction with conducting interviews on campus. These sessions
are typically 50 minutes in length and are held during the noon hour. Evening
presentations that include networking activities may also be arranged. Contact
us for details.
Host a Company Site Visit & Tour
Inviting our students to visit your company to meet with your executives and
tour your facility is a great way to introduce them to your company and culture.
These visits can be arranged by the MBA Career Center or through student clubs.
Contact us to discuss how this can work best for you.
Offer Summer Internships
A student who has had a productive summer internship can serve as your company's
greatest ambassador and best full-time hire upon graduation. Recruiting for
summer interns begins in January and continues throughout the winter and spring
quarters. Summer internships are typically 10-12 weeks in length and can also
take place during the school year on a part-time basis.

Career Center.
Participate in Workshops and Mock Interviews
We invite experienced business professionals to participate in career awareness
workshops to share their industry perspectives and give advice on job search
tactics, networking, interviewing, and career management topics. During the
winter and spring quarters we invite industry representatives to participate
in behavioral mock interviews. Both activities are a great way to build your
company’s presence on campus. Contact us for more details.
Participate in our MBA Career Fair
Consider our annual career fair to recruit for full-time and internship opportunities.
Typically held during the spring quarter, this event is a great way to gain
exposure to hundreds of MBA candidates all in one day.

Mentor an MBA Student
Volunteer your time as a mentor for the school's The Center for Global Leadership and Team Development (CLTD). The Mentoring Program provides students
with the opportunity to gain career guidance by fostering relationships with
experienced business people. The mentor is a coach, guide, motivator, advisor,
and role model. Mentors have the opportunity to:
- Share knowledge about organizational cultures, industries, and career paths.
- Help the student hone his or her interpersonal effectiveness.
- Offer networking opportunities.

Sponsor an MBA Consulting Project
The MBA Experiential Learning Course provides local companies with teams of
graduating MBAs to work on strategic business projects. These for-academic-credit
projects are typically ten weeks in length and have faculty oversight. Projects
focus on performance improvement and involve strategic management issues. There
is no charge to participating companies. To submit a project proposal please
contact Shaheen Husain (s2husain@uci.edu),
